frequently asked questions

Do you accept vision insurance, Medicaid, Medicare?

Yes we do! Our friendly staff members are happy to field each and every one of your questions about insurance benefits. Whether you have medical and/or vision insurance, we’ll research your plan to find out how best to utilize your benefits. Visit our vision care benefits page to learn more.

What hours are you open?

We’re here Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Do you see kids?

Yes! Our staff and doctors adore children and even see infants as young as six months old. We love to make the experience fun and positive, ensuring healthy eye-care habits are developed at an early age. We would be delighted to be your children’s eye care provider.

Will my glasses be ready in 1 hour?

We want your glasses to be absolutely perfect. In order to achieve this, we take exceptional care with each pair we make. Unlike many chain stores which promote speed, we promote quality: quality materials, quality craftsmanship, crystal clear lenses, and a fit that’s perfectly tailored to your face for maximum comfort. For these reasons, our turn-around time usually runs between one and seven days, depending on your custom specifications.

What should I bring to my exam?

We respect your time and want to make your exam as efficient as possible. To facilitate this, please plan to bring your vision care and medical care benefits cards, driver’s license, and your current glasses and/or contacts.

Will my eyes be dilated and uncomfortable after my exam?

Most likely your eyes will NOT be dilated during your exam! Our doctors utilize the latest in digital imaging technology, which means no uncomfortable bright and blurry vision after your exam. We’ll sit you in front of a very specialized camera which takes a high-resolution photo of the back of your eye and you’ll be set! On rare occasions, the image may reveal something the doctor will want to have a closer look at, which may necessitate traditional dilation. In such cases, the doctor will discuss this with you to ensure you’re OK with your eyes being dilated at that time.

How long will my exam take?

Our doctors believe a thorough exam of the eyes is important to ensuring your long-term vision health. You can expect your visit to last around forty-five minutes, which allows enough time for us to provide comprehensive pre-testing, and ample time for the doctor to thoroughly examine your eyes and answer all of your questions.

Do you carry glasses or do I have to buy them online?

We carry a huge selection of eyewear right in our clinic, so you can try on as many pairs as you want to find the perfect style for you. Our staff are trained and experienced in helping you choose the right materials, styles, colors, and lens options to ensure you’re happy with your glasses for years to come. Of course, if you have a certain pair you want that’s available online, we can still make the lenses and help fit them to your face.

My glasses broke, can you fix them?

Yes! Most of the glasses we sell have at least a 1-year warranty, even if breaking them was your fault. We can fix many problems while you wait, or we can order replacement lenses or parts as needed. Even if you didn’t buy your glasses from us, come in and we’ll fix them for you.

Do you sell sunglasses?

Yes! We have a wide selection of high-quality sunglasses for sale at our store. We carry many top brands, including Maui Jim, Ray-Ban, Oakley, Wiley X, Smith, Spy, and others. We are happy to discuss the various benefits of each brand and help you find the perfect pair.
